BASIC FUNCTIONSResponsible for developing and implementing sales plan for targeted penetration of the retail market. Through activities with the distributors, retailers, developers, contractors and end users, coordinate all retail sales and promotional efforts to ensure success. Conduct training programs to educate retail and Kohler Personnel concerning Kohler products and programs. In addition, the person should manage the retailers in accordance with the required target sales, profit and service level.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Within the assigned district, the person should establish and maintain a close relationship with the distributors/retailers and be responsible in introducing and promoting the Kohler product sales so as to comply with the sales plan, target, policy and work methods establish by the company.
- Prepare and implement account plans for individual distributors/retailers to grow and maintain 'top billing' position.
- Conduct sales presentations for prospective distributors/retailers.
- Maintain a high program awareness level among the retail accounts, as well as Kohler and distributor personnel.
- Provide guidance and evaluation reports on distributors/retailers' sales activities and Kohler's technical professionals. Provide training to the retailers and assist them to solve their sales and technical problems.
- Discreetly seek and propose new retail accounts.
- Take advantage of relationships established with distributors/retail accounts to monitor competition and report market intelligence as obtained, recommending appropriate responses.
- Recommend product/marketing ideasthat would be supported by the retail markets.
- Work with retail merchandising teams in product selection, lay-out and display. Ensure that Kohler display material is in place and retail outlets meet Kohler display standards.
- Analyze and evaluate the market trend, its potential, the competitiveness, the economic and/or business status of the distributors/retailers of the appointed district.
- Monitor of the performance of Kohler product lines with distributors/retailers with respect to: sales and profit and recommend additions to or discontinuance from the line where applicable.
- Visit and check the distributors/retailer's warehouse and interview the end users. Handle complaints from the distributors' and customers.
- Attend sales meeting, distributors/retailers' meeting , business trade meeting and exhibition, so as to increase product knowledge, hence, improving the sales techniques as well as establishing good relationship with the retailers and end users.
- Prepare business quotations in accordance with the company's policy and procedures.

- Solid report to the Country manager, K&B Indonesia
- Dotted report to Retail Sales Manager, K&B SE Asia.
- Frequently contacts with Marketing Managers on all marketing activities and potential, new products and packaging, sales promotion and market research.
- Frequently contacts with the distributors' retail personnel.
- Frequently contacts with AEM's Supply Chain and Technical as well as Asia Customer Service Centre personnel.
- Keep in contact with the retailers, developers, architect and other end users on a regular base.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSUniversity/ college graduated in marketing or business administration preferred.
At least 6 years sales experience coupled with extensive background in securing project type business.
